Fees

Where a new Student is attending a course for the first time, subject to availability, Jordan Semmens Performing Arts allows a two session trial period so that the student may try the first two sessions of the course. The trial period only applies to courses for new students and the two trial sessions must be taken consecutively within the first four weeks of the start of term.
The Street, Musical Theatre and Ballet course is run termly. As this is part of a term, the first two weeks will be trial sessions whereby you can pay as you attend. The remaining weeks to the end of term will be invoiced to you.
Terms and Conditions

Students must inform their teacher of any injuries or illness prior to their class commencing.

Pupils are expected to conduct themselves in a disciplined manner whilst attending classes and be respectful to both teachers and students at all times. This will ensure the safety and well-being of everyone.

The Principle reserves the right to exclude students from the school who are not responding to training, misbehave or break the school rules.

Pupils will not be allowed to leave the venue area, where the class is being held until they are collected. Written permission is required should you wish your child to be allowed unsupervised.

Please notify the school immediately if you, your child or anyone in your household has tested positive for COVID-19. Self-isolate for 10 days MINIMUM and contact the NHS Test and Trace helpline.

Face masks are not mandatory within the building however can of course be worn at each individual’s discretion if preferred.

If your child has any form of medical, physical, psychological or behavioural ailments or issues, you are to inform Jordan Semmens Performing Arts on their first day of attendance and at any time of development.

Should an accident occur within our setting during in-person/physical classes, the staff members who witnessed it will attend to first aid if needed, follow the accident procedure if further medical assistance is needed and complete an accident report form as written evidence of the incident itself (and the measures taken to prevent the accident happening again and measures taken to help assist in the matter).

Provisions: All Students are to have a bottle of water available during each class.

NO jewellery is to be worn.

Photography: On occasion, Jordan Semmens Performing Arts may video or photograph your child for use on our website or in Press and Publicity information. By signing below, you will be agreeing to your child being included, without permission being requested for, each individual occasion.

Photography and videography consent must be given for all students before they are photographed at the studio or in any shows, performances etc. If you choose to refuse consent for any photography or videography, your child’s ability to appear in any shows, performances etc will be limited.

Parent/guardian and any other contact details are securely kept by the proprietor and are always electronically accessible in the event of an injury or illness.

Payment is to be made at the beginning of the class. If payment is not made the student may not take part in the class.

Jordan Semmens Performing Arts reserves the right to change these terms and conditions on reasonable notice.

Legal Responsibility: All Staff/Volunteers will be DBS certified with an Enhanced Certificate. All DBS certificates will be renewed after 3 years of employment.

Child Protection and Safeguarding Policies and training will remain up to date with UK Law and both policies and certificates of training are available upon request.

Both Public and Employee Liability Insurances will be current and valid and are available upon request.

All 2018 GRPD laws have been upheld and all Data held about students, parents, contacts or employees is held with express permission from the individual and kept under specified legal security measures.

Jordan Semmens Performing Arts has its own COVID-19 Risk assessment which is available on request as well as a Covid-19 policy that will be issued before attendance commences.

All complaints will be recorded and dealt with appropriately.

Students and parents/guardians are to treat the building with respect and not cause any deliberate damage or mess. Any damage caused deliberately by a child may result in the parent/guardian being charged for repairs.

Parents/guardians are not permitted to be present in the hall unless given express permission by the teacher.

Parents/guardians must ensure that any photographs taken at the hall of your child must not have any other children present in them, unless consent has been given by their parents.

All Students must be collected on time after a session. Jordan Semmens Performing Arts is unable to supervise Students after a session and consistent late collection will result in additional charges.
1. How these terms apply to you and our services.
By using our services, you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by these terms. Use of our services include but are not limited to;

2. Limitation of Liability and Indemnity
When hiring our Staff or Performers you agree to indemnify our Staff or Performers for any loss arising due to you cancelling an event outside of the agreed cancellation period.
You also agree to include our Staff and Performers under your Public Liability Insurance Scheme.
3. Cancellations
We have a 5 day cancellation notice period, which you agree to as a
consumer.
All cancellations of bookings with us must be done at least 5 days prior to the event day.
Any cancellations made after this 5 day period will leave the consumer liable to pay 50% of the agreed hire total.
4. Deposits
A deposit equal to 30% of the final agreed price of your “Total Event Hire” is payable once agreed.
All deposits are non-refundable.
5. Payments
The Balance outstanding of an agreed “Total Event Hire” is payable 72 hours prior to the Event Start Time.
Failure to make this payment on time will result in the cancellation of the performance(s).
6. Terms for hiring our performers
All our performers are covered by their own Personal Performers Insurance.
It is the responsibility of the venue/event/company that have hired the performer(s) to ensure that they will be performing in a safe area with adequate space.
7. Illness
In the event of accident or illness preventing the Artiste(s) from the Company from appearing the client shall be informed at the earliest opportunity. The client shall not be obliged to pay the Artiste’s fee or any expenses for any performance(s) in respect of which the Artiste is unable to perform. A suitable replacement Artist will be offered to the venue/client where available. In the case of a suitable replacement not being available or agreeable/acceptable by the client/venue a full refund will be issued inclusive of deposit paid.
8. Force Majeure
(a)A "Force Majeure Event" is defined as one or more of the following causes which renders performance impossible, impracticable, or unsafe: death, illness of, or injury of The Company’s key personnel; theft, loss, destruction, or breakdown of equipment owned or leased by artist; fire; threat(s) or act(s) of terrorism; riot(s) or other form(s) of civil disorder in, around, or near the Performance(s) venue; strike, lockout, or other forms of labour difficulties; any act, order, rule, or regulation of any court, government agency, or public authority; act of God; absence of power or other essential services; failure of technical facilities; failure or delay of transportation not within the Company's reasonable control; inclement weather; and/or any similar or dissimilar cause beyond Jordan Semmens Performing Arts control.
(b)If a Force Majeure Event occurs, the parties' respective obligations hereunder will be excused fully, without any additional obligation, and each of the parties shall bear its own costs incurred in connection with this Agreement.
9. Technical Facilities
Technical facilities must be of a professional standard, including sound, lighting, staging and where appropriate projection equipment and operators. If you fail to supply or provide the correct and/or appropriate equipment for the Company to perform, you will provide us with a complete indemnity for any costs and/or expenses incurred. And if the Company is unable to perform due to your failure to provide the correct and/or appropriate equipment you agree to accept full responsibility for any adverse consequences of any non-performance by the Company.
10. The Venue / Insurance
You will ensure that the venue for the performance has adequate heating, lighting and ventilation and complies with all health and safety, licensing and public entertainment legislation and that all necessary licenses are held or obtained. You have the responsibility to take out and maintain adequate public liability insurance and we reserve the right to request sight of any policy at any time prior to the performance. Failure to have insurance may be regarded by us as a cancellation by you. You must also provide all technical and stage accessories that may be necessary to enable the Company to carry out the performance. Client to ensure adequate access to
the performance area and/or parking Space nearby for the duration of the performance at no charge. Client to be responsible for the adequate supervision of all guests and staff at the Venue and to be liable for any theft, loss or damage to any equipment caused by the guests, staff or couriers.
11. Disturbance during Performance
It is accepted that you the client are responsible for the actions of the audience/delegates. In the event of any disturbance e.g. (but not limited to) unreasonable background noise, throwing of missiles, failure of P.A. system, continual abuse under or not under the influence of alcohol the artiste is entitled to decrease their performance time. In this event the client will remain liable for the full Company’s fee.
12. Complaints
In the event of a dispute or complaint from either the Company or the Client, any issue must be put in writing within 48 hours. The Company and Client will aim to reach an agreeable solution. Third party statements should be obtained where possible to back up any claim. If the matter cannot be resolved or an agreement reached, then both parties should seek legal advice.
